To Stavrodromi - Traditional Grill Room and Taverna, Pelekas, Corfu
Stavrodromi is Greek for crossroads - and that's where you'll find this traditional, family-run, Greek taverna, among a grove of olive trees at the crossroads to Pelekas, Sinarades, Ermones and Corfu Town. We have been here since 2002, serving home cooked food, freshly made each day with local ingredients - most of the herbs we use are grown in the garden next to the taverna.
Dining al-fresco under the olive trees
Our menu is a mix of fresh meats - steaks, burgers and souvlakis - cooked in the traditional way over a charcoal grill, and classic Corfiot dishes such as Sofrito (beef in a rich garlic and vinegar sauce) and Stifado (a stew made with tomatoes and baby onions). There is also a full range of Corfiot and Greek starters and salads to choose from. Accompany your meal with local or bottled wine, beer, spirits or a soft drink. And make sure that you don't miss out on the delicious home-made pastries and desserts. Reservations are advised.
When and where to find us
From 1 May to mid-October we are open every day from 17.00 to 23.00. We can be found next to the No. 11 bus stop. We are two minutes drive from Pelekas, five minutes from Sinarades or Ermones, and 15 minutes from Corfu Town.
